Event Description:

Lean Startup Montreal is organizing a very interesting event, geared toward agile innovation and decision making. Their guest speaker, Davender Gupta is developping a strategic approach to help startups enter their first market and scale using Lean Startup principles. His approach reduces risk and accelerates progress while being agile and resilient. This is a project he is working on as part of his Executive MBA course at McGill-HEC Montréal.

Davender will share his findings with us and set the stage for the workshop. This promesses rich value added content!

Workshop
Exploring how to use Lean Startup in scaling your venture

Following the talks you’ll be invited to participate in a workshop where teams (4-6 participants) will be working on either your project of that of another participant to find out how LS can be applied to scale your business.

Attendees get a chance to win a free copy of “The Startup Way: How Modern Companies Use Entrepreneurial Management to Transform Culture & Drive Long-Term Growth” by Eric Ries. In this book Ries shares the lessons he (and others) learned and conclusions while implementing the Lean Startup approach in large organisations in the last few years. These large organisations include GE, Intuit, iCorp, multiple US government departments such as education, immigration, security (NSA), the White House and NPOs such as Boyscouts of America and American Heart Association.

Rita Baker, Lean Starup Circle Montreal organiser, will share a summary of the content of the book (so you don’t have to read it) with you.
